Dr. Gurav has expertise in harnessing waste biomass to produce microbial biodiesel, bioelectricity, polyhydroxyalkanoates, exopolysaccharides, and biohydrogen. He has demonstrated microbial, bioelectrochemical, hydrogel, biochar, and self-activated carbon-based technologies for the remediation of organic contaminants. Dr. Gurav developed a novel process to convert poultry feather biomass into an amino acid cocktail that acts as a plant growth promoter, and chitin biomass as an antifungal agent.
